VSC Training Course: Parallelization with MPI, Apr 11-13, 2018 [Innsbruck]

    Description:

    On clusters and distributed memory architectures, parallel programming with the Message Passing Interface (MPI) is the dominating programming model. This 3 days course teaches parallel programming with MPI starting from a beginners level. Hands-on sessions (in C and Fortran) will allow users to immediately test and understand the basic constructs of the Message Passing Interface (MPI).

    This course has been originally developed by Rolf Rabenseifner from the High-Performance Computing-Center Stuttgart (HLRS) and is organized in cooperation with Opens external link in new windowHLRS.

    (Content Level: 70% for beginners, 30% advanced)

    Registration for this course is closed (fully booked / waiting list).

    Registration deadline is Monday, March 12, 2018, with priority rules. Acceptance will be approved on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. As long as seats are available there will be an extended registration period without priority rules.

    Priority for acceptance: first - members of the University of Innsbruck, second - active users of the VSC systems and members of Austrian universities and public research institutes, third - other applicants.

    Fee:

    This course is free of charge (lunch is not included).

    Handouts / Slides:

    Each participant will get a printout of all slides.

    If you want, you may also buy the MPI-3.1 Standard (hardcover, 17 Euro, cash only).
